Multifeeder created the 350ip3 Washdown feeder machine for food-grade processes, which is a cost-effective alternative to hygienic friction feeders. Adding to the versatility and capability of its friction feeder line, this series consists of our high performing Industrial Performance (ip3) washdown friction feeder made of Type 304 Series Stainless Steel, the material of choice for food-grade applications. Designed for food-grade belts and grease, this series of friction feeders are compatible with FDA standards.

Our ip3 Washdown friction feeders are powered by a 1200 watt (one horsepower) brushless servo motor, which is one of the best in the industry. This makes our feeders robust for the most demanding applications, with the reliability to provide years of uninterrupted service.

General Information: 

The Hygienic Washdown Feeder 600 meets sanitary requirements and complies with IP66 or higher as well as NEMA4X standards. Functions the same as the 300 model, but with the ability to feed larger food products. The hygienic friction feeder is designed for end-customers in the food industry that need to repetitively and aggressively clean their production floor equipment. This clean in place (CIP) friction feeder is engineered with passivated type 304 stainless steel, powered by a 1200 watt brushless servo motor, and is moisture and corrosion resistant. The open design allows for minimal disassembly for easy cleaning and maintenance. This machine meets all FDA standards, is self-draining, and has no hollow areas, which are principles we follow to ensure the sanitary design and reduced risk of contamination.

The 550v3 Friction Feeder machine is an economical wide-body friction feeder machine. With the wide-body, very large/large/medium irregular carton blanks, flat sheets or products can be easily transported as base products quickly and efficiently to other applications. The 550v3 feeder is designed and built with larger over-sized shafts enabling the feeder for long production runs transporting products to other applications. Tipping and affixing of large size products is ideal for the 550v3. When very large/large/medium size products are needed to feed and high speed is not essential, combined with the cost savings and reliability of the v3, then the 550v3 friction feeder machine is your best choice.

Gluing

Multifeeder Technology manufactures high performance folder/gluer tipping systems. These systems use a friction feeder to feed products onto a vacuum conveyor at a set distance apart using our AccuTipping software. Next, the system begins folding the fed product while a second tipping feeder running AccuTipping attaches another item to the first product with an adhesive. After receiving the tipped product, the system will finish the original fold. Lastly, these systems typically utilize a reject-on-error system to verify that all products exiting the system are good.

Multifeeder’s superior computer-controlled servo motor technology facilitates our trademarked AccuTipping software, allowing placement of the products at high speeds with tight accuracy. A wide variety of shapes, thickness, materials, and sizes can be fed automatically.
